About Circle K International, in generalCircle K is an international community service organization with over 12,000 members worldwide in over 7 countries. Circle K blends community service and leadership training with the opportunity to meet many other college students at service projects, conferences, and conventions. Each club works closely with their school and local community in planning and implementing projects that best serve the needs of that particular area. Clubs within the same basic geographic area (divisions), also work together on larger projects. On the district level, clubs within the boundaries of California, Nevada, and Hawaii also work to achieve common goals and service initiatives, and come together at conferences, conventions, and large scale projects (see "events" page). This gives members the opportunity to work closely with and get to know many different people, not just those at their own school. Back to TopAbout Circle K at DavisWe are Circle K International at University of California, Davis. Due to our location, we often do community service in the cities of Davis and Sacramento. Often times, we team up with Circle K International clubs of other schools within the Capital Division. Thus, we occasionally also travel to Reno, Nevada to work with Circle K at University of Nevada, Reno. Pictures of us around the area can be found under the media page. Back to TopDivisions and DistrictsOften times, members of Circle K will refer to divisions and districts. The difference between the two is that a division is a set of Circle K clubs located at different colleges, while a district is a set of divisions. For example, the Capital Division is composed of Circle K clubs from UC Davis, UN Reno, CSU Sacramento, University of Pacific, Sierra College, and Truckee Meadows Community College. For an example of a district, the California-Nevada-Hawaii district (often shortened to Cal-Nev-Ha, or CNH) is the district that Capital Division belongs to. Back to Top |
